Set in 2055, The Age of Stupid is an environmental crusade that foretells the condition of earth as a result to climate-change abandonment. This semi-fictional framework follows a man - played by Grammy winner Pete Postlethwaite- retrace his steps. The character who is eventually the last man standing on earth retraces his steps via a future computer interface that replays events leading up to the deserted condition.
Back to the past, which is presently 2008, he examines where humans could have made an effective difference. And shamefully truthful, it compels us to take a positive role in climate change by emphasizes that earth in 2055 is unlivable and mocks our lazy approach in the past (which is the present). The Age of Stupid is not your average environmental pic; yes it is factual and eco-centric, but it is hip and current enough to keep your eyes glued to the screen even if you are not really the ultimate advocate of green.
Accompanied by decent soundtrack and awesome animations, it removes the stigma the average mundane documentary. Al Gore will be proud. This film has already hit cinemas in Europe and will soon make it’s way over to the United States sometime in Fall 2009. Check for it, it will change your future. View trailer here.
