Homage To Her

Spirit

Whenever I am asked to describe the female hustle, I say “it is the most demanding hustle the world has ever seen.” This is not an attempt to dismiss those who consider themselves as such, but it is declaration that understands the high demands of her world. Yes, you may see her walking down the street in her prissy heels, carrying a designer bag, and looking as if she barely lifts a manicured finger, but if you took the time to tune in to her story you will discover that She is a lot more than those shoes and that bag. She probably walked (in those heels) all day, carrying a portfolio full of business ideas (disguised in that designer bag), while counting (on her manicured fingers) the many things she’ll need to do before the day is through. What some refer to as the ‘work-it-girl‘, she is not your average stick in the mud hottie, this girl is a force driven by the dream of establishing her own while remaining a lady. ‘Miss Independent’ is just a transparent title for what she is truly all about…

Mind

Day after day she lives under the microscope, expected to be everything from the perfect beauty to the perfect brain. She gracefully juggles the pressure to win the hearts of those she encounters while staying true to who she is. She knows how to handle her business -in all areas of her life- and you will never find her meddling in OPP. Her hustle is the fantasy and the reality meshed together. She will do what is required plus more with sprinkles on top! She is daring, sexy, articulate, but she is not a corner-hugger. Domestic, she is down to earth and may even know how to whip up something in the kitchen. Some believe that she is impractical and hard to come by. Although you won’t run into a girl like Beyonce, Halle Berry, or Oprah Winfrey twice in one week, hundreds of “dim-light” females that embody the same female hustle mentality exist. In fact, her hustle is not validated by the amount of recognition she receives, but by her growth that she can only achieve when her spirit, mind, and body is aligned.

Spirit

It requires a special kind of self-love and commitment to fuel this process. Hence why She is deeper than what she appears to be. This is also what sets the female hustle apart from the rest. It is not pretentious, animalistic, and destructive. Instead it is divine, unique, and appealing. Homage to Her displays the three elements -spirit, mind, and body- spawn from her inner thoughts reflected onto the world (as oppose to the reverse). Through these images, you will understand that the female hustle is more than memoirs of romantic shenanigans and cocktail sermons; it is her place of solitude, where she calls all the shots, and accepts the roles she wants to play in her life. This one is dedicated to all the females who take full ownership of their hustle.
