Don’t sweat the technique…sweat the competition. HUGO Urban Rules 2nd annual music battle is taking over London, England. This multi-faceted urban music campaign clears the ring for a new generation of unrepresented artists. Through direct partnerships with clients including Fresh40 Radio and Touch Magazine, HUGO Fragrances is offering to invest fully in the next dopest MC, singer, or band. But first, they have to rock the competition.

Round one: all interested unsigned talent must register and submit their demo to the campaign website www.hugofragrances.com/urbanrulesby November 16, 2007. Round two: 15 competitors will be chosen to attend a cycle of master classes on December 3, 2007. The series of workshops include vocal coaching, stage crafting, and a tailor-made critique session from top ranking music industry representatives including Mervyn Lyn (Sony BMG), Steve Sutherland (Galaxy FM), and Twin B (Radio 1 Xtra). Total Knockout: a winner will be chosen to perform live at an exclusive showcase taped by MTV featuring R&B songbird Amerie and Electro-Soul trio Unklejam. The featured song will be professionally studio recorded and later released and distributed worldwide.

For all supporters of new music, you can apply for audience tickets online. The evening promises lyrical inspiration, limited edition gift sets of HUGO Deep Red for women and HUGO Green for men to select trivia winners, an open bar, and swag bags for all. There are only 500 tickets available. It all goes down December 4, 2007 at Neighbourhood (formerly known as Subterrania) on 12 Acklam Road, London W10 5QZ.
