French youth and urban cultures have absorbed and disseminated the American urban tradition of hip-hop largely through the Pockemon Crew, one of France’s premier and award-winning dance ensembles. Since 2006, the group has dominated the international hip-hop dance scene.

Comfortable with a variety of music, from cabaret style to traditional Arabic music, Pockemon Crew presents That’s Life!?, a visual experience that juxtaposes France’s particular urban experiment with the multiple traditions and influences of the crew’s dancers. With strength and elegance, the dancers provide an electrifying performance that brings hip-hop dancing “à la française” to New Yorkers.
