With his soft and powerful flow, Oxmo Puccino has become through the years one of the master minds of French rap music. With his fifth album “L’Arme de paix” (Tear/Weapon of Peace) being released he displays his daily life poetry on jazzy and cathcy melodies.Oxmo, who is also known as Abdoulaye Diarra was born in Mali during 1974, moved with his family to Paris and started writing about his violent urban environment duringhis teenage years. After collaborating with different artists, Oxmo Puccino launched his first album in 1998 “Opera Puccio.” His love for jazz music has led him to work with music label Blue Note in helping to create Lipopette Bar with a group called the Jazzbastards.
